Description
Derived from the W3 formula specifically for difficult terrestrial species and species that prefer organic Nitrogen. Ideal replate and sowing media for some Cypripedium, Mexipedium, Phragmipedium, Chloraea, Gavilea, Ophrys, Orchis, Dactylorhiza, Disa, Galearis, Platanthera, Diuris, Caladenia, Pterostylis, Thelymitra, Chiloglottis, Corybas etc. Germination is generally enhanced by the addition of coconut water at 30-60mL per litre. Germinate in darkness but monitor for germination or contamination. Species of some genera, particularly slipper orchids and Disa are better suited to lower strength media such as W9.2 and W9.5.
