Description
A flask of Pterostytis falcata with at least 30+ partially dormant tubers. A large, late flowering green hood from South Australia. Also found in other states. This species is unusual in that it has a very short dormancy from mid summer. You should water plants year round, but just keep them every so slightly damp over the dormancy. They grow very well in sphagnum moss, though the tubers are fun to find when repotting. They also do very well in a peat/sand mix. As with many Pterostylis, they benefit from regular application of weak fertiliser, particularly early in the season. Flower is from October-December.
