Pterostylis saxicola (NSW) N858 Flask Maxi

Description

A flask of Pterostytis saxicola with at least 30+ partially dormant tubers. A tall spiked, Rufa group Greenhood from NSW. This species is unusual in that it tends to flower earlier than most other Rufa group species, but they may depend on your conditions. Plants have a dry summer dormancy. They grow very well in sphagnum moss but you must be very careful about watering. Generally use a very free draining mix that won’t get very wet but stays damp. As with many Pterostylis, they benefit from regular application of weak fertiliser, particularly early in the season. Flower is from late winter.
